March 21-24, 2024 : St. Bernard Parish Frederick Sigur Civic Center Find Us Hosted by the Louisiana Crawfish Fest Foundation The Mission of the Louisiana Crawfish Fest Foundation is to help those in need. Louisiana Crawfish Fest Foundation's goal is to support community programs in St. Bernard Parish and the surrounding areas. Through doing so, the foundation hopes to encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships. The purpose of this organization is to not only promote St. Bernard Parish and the culture and tourism through the Louisiana Crawfish Festival, but also to be charitable, patriotic, educational, and other public-spirited purposes that have an impact on our community. We are proud to have been able to donate to the following charities: OLPS Church, School & CCD Our Lady of Lourdes Church & CCD Children's Hospital Compassionate Friends Keep Christ in Christmas The Kidney Foundation St. Bernard Christian School Project Graduation Reserve Deputy Corporation St. Bernard Parish Public School Special Education Scholarships Hannan Manor Assisted Living Center St. Bernard Parish Deputies St. Bernard Parish Firemen VA Donations St. Bernard Church YEP Driven My Friends Closet Slidell Ladies for Liberty Ronald McDonald House Coats for Kids St. Bernard Council on Aging Christmas Toy Giveaway Trick or Trunk St. Bernard Autism Society Giving Hope St. Bernard Recreation Department Ochsner Hospital for Children St. Bernard Parish EMT History of the Louisiana Crawfish Festival In 1975, the Knights of Columbus Rummel Council 5747 saw a need in the St. Bernard Community. Debating on how to raise funds, a member of the council suggested that they host a festival, and so the Louisiana Crawfish Festival began. In 2005, Hurricane Katrina devastated St. Bernard Parish, which caused the festival to not happen again until 2007. Many residents of St. Bernard joined together with friends and family who moved away after the Hurricane. Some even say the festival was the reason that they returned to St. Bernard Parish to rebuild. After the Louisiana Crawfish Festival reestablished itself, it became the main fundraiser for Knights of Columbus Rummel Council, which allowed them to donate over $100,000 per year to multiple community initiatives throughout the St. Bernard Community and the surrounding areas. Since Hurricane Katrina, the Louisiana Crawfish Festival donated over TWO MILLION DOLLARS back to the community. To commemorate the 45th Louisiana Crawfish Festival, the committee decided to establish the Louisiana Crawfish Fest Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)3. 2023 LOUISIANA CRAWFISH FESTIVAL QUEENS Miss Louisiana Crawfish Festival Queen XX Kristin Nash Hello, my name is Kristin Nash, and it’s a privilege to be Miss Louisiana Crawfish Queen XX. I am 20 years old, and a resident of Belle Chasse, but my family is from St. Bernard. I attend Nicholls State University majoring in Child Development. During my free time, I enjoy fishing, spending time with my family and friends, and water sports is a must since I live in a marina! I currently work at the YMCA as a camp counselor. My love for the Louisiana Crawfish Festival is deeply rooted, as I have been going to the festival since I was a little girl. I had the privilege of representing as the Teen LA Crawfish Queen in 2019 & 2020 due to the pandemic. I am looking forward to traveling near and far across our great state to share with the rest of Louisiana what the Louisiana Crawfish Festival is all about, and the Louisiana Crawfish Foundation's mission. I truly am honored and excited to be your 20th Louisiana Crawfish Queen, and I look forward to seeing everyone March 21st-24th at the 48th Louisiana Crawfish Festival! Teen Louisiana Crawfish Festival Queen XVIII Riley Moran Hey everyone! My name is Riley Moran and I am your Teen Louisiana Crawfish Festival Queen XVIII. I am beyond excited and honored to be representing this festival because it is truly something special. The Knights of Columbus Rummel Council 5747 and the Ladies Auxiliary do so much for our community, and are the most selfless volunteers.
