LOUISIANA CRAWFISH FESTIVAL IGNITES FESTIVAL SEASON
The Grand-Daddy of Festivals has officially kicked-off the New Orleans Metropolitan Area Festival season. The Louisiana Crawfish Festival located in Chalmette, Louisiana hosted over a hundred thousand guests March 24-27th, 2011. The Festival that has been in existence since 1975 filled the grounds with revelers from nearby neighborhoods, neighboring parishes and as far away as London. Festival Chairman Cisco Gonzales, stated, "The weekend was unbelievable. I've spoken to numerous guests who frequent the festival annually for a variety of reasons. Some patrons come for the entertainment and great food while others join family members and friends to just hang out. I loved visiting with Moms and Dads that were overjoyed watching their youngsters giggle and wave while riding their favorite light and siren amusement ride". Gonzales further extended a "Humble & Heartfelt Thanks" to all who attended.
